Every update requires a reboot to fully initiate the upgrade, the question is will we accept the updates God has for us as close out 2020 and reboot our lives in 2021.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NIV) 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

Week 1 – Reboot emotionally – Accepting the upgrade by letting go!

Rest - Renewal and Reminder

Emotional burnout does not mean you’re spiritually burnt out or being sinful your just emotionally burn out! 

Emotional needs are not always met by spiritual answers -

Grieve what is lost and accept what is changed so we can begin the upgrade – REBOOT!

Denial – anger – bargaining – depression – acceptance

1 John 3:2 (NIV) 2  Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

John 14:1 (HCSB) 1  “Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.

Take Away: Will you let go of 2020 and allow the upgrades to 2021 download so you can hit the reboot button!

Week 2 – Reboot Spiritually – Starts in the heart

Will we allow the experiences we had in 2020 to upgrade our relationship with God Himself, who has power to reset our hearts renew our spirits and refresh our resolve to become more like Him in 2021!

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV) 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Take Away: Will you receive the upgrade and allow the reboot to happen in your life!!

Week 3 – Reboot Physically – Seen in the body

How we treat our body and what we do with our body becomes visible to the world and should glorify God. What upgrades do you need to have physically as you reboot to glorify God with your body!

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV) 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (NIV) 26Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Take Away: What physical upgrade is needed to help you bring glory to God?

Week 4 Reboot financially – becoming fiscally responsible –

Matthew 6:19-20 (NIV) 19  "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Take away: What upgrades are needed to invest in eternity?

Week 5 – Reboot mentally – Sought through understanding  

Only the power of God will open our minds to new understanding and guard our thinking with peace. Will we allow the work of God to open our minds to new insights needed to impact families to transform our world.

Luke 24:45 (NIV) 45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. (ex: disciples had to be in proximity to the resurrected Jesus to allows the upgrade to happen their life – prayer study  seeking to be in proximity and discipline to shape your thinking allowed this to happen)

Philippians 4:7 (NIV) 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Take Away: In what ways are you loving the Lord with all your mind to receive the upgrade of understanding?

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Titus 3:5 (NIV) 5  …………………He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

Philippians 1:6 (NIV) 6 …………..he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
