John Denney (1948-2024) was a minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in California, Idaho, and Oregon and as district superintendent of the Southern California District. He also served as editorial director for Youth Ministries at International Headquarters producing the Word/Action Sunday School curriculum during his tenure; on the Board of Trustees for Northwest Nazarene College (now University), Point Loma Nazarene University, and Nazarene Theological Seminary; as Southwest Zone facilitator; and other local community service positions. He was married to Sheree and father toe Tiffany and Justin.
