Better Together

Better Together

Better Together... is really our way of talking about what Jesus calls, in these stories, the Kingdom of Heaven.

He tells these stories because they are a simple way to help people grasp what is really big, maybe even bigger than any of us realize.

Dancing With the Scars

Wynne Lankford
Dancing with the scars Easter series
Life hurts and cuts, and you bleed. You are left with permanent hurt. Sometimes, there are memories and wounds that just won't go away. Abuse. Depression. Tragedy. Death. Addiction. So what are you going to do? Faith in God doesn't prevent us from having scars like these. In fact, our Lord we follow was pretty scarred himself. But you gotta keep dancing. Through Jesus, we are given access to a living faith and hope and joy and peace and love that gives us power to keep dancing, to embrace scars and know that they don't define or destroy us.

God Selfie

Wynne Lankford
God Selfie a study on How God describes Himself
Sometimes we take selfies to portray to the world who we are! Did God ever take a selfie? Yes, He did just that in Exodus 34 when Moses asked God for a revelation of himself. God showed Moses His glory by giving him a verbal self-description that is unique among all Bible passages. In this self-description, God selects 8 characteristics that He wants to be known by. Let’s study God’s “selfie” and learn how we can better understand who God is so we can better relate to Him and more clearly share him with others.

Reboot Your Life

Every update requires a reboot to fully initiate the upgrade, the question is will we accept the updates God has for us as close out 2020 and reboot our lives in 2021.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NIV) 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

You can say your single, in a relationship, or even it’s complicated. The way culture defines relationships can be radically different from what God designed or desires. In this series, we want to explore your relationship status!

Shallow

We can choose to swim in the shallow end of relationships or go to the deep end where relationships take on a whole new meaning! Spiritual growth happens when we take the risk to form deep spiritual friendship that sharpen us and help us achieve our true purpose in life. We go further faster when we realize no one climbs alone.

Sermon Series: Snapshots of the Kingdom

We often pray for God’s Kingdom to come and God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. If that were to actually happen, what might that look like? Jesus gives us beautiful glimpses into that Kingdom as he continues his march toward Jerusalem. You might want to be careful. . . the children, the poor, and the sick play a prominent role in these stories.

Table Manners

Wynne Lankford
Table Manners sermon series
During Jesus' ministry, we see many times where Jesus taught while sharing a meal. In fact, there are 10 different accounts of Jesus eating with various people in the gospel of Luke. These encounters left an eternal impact on those in His audience and on us as well. What can we learn as we take a seat at the table and experience Jesus' heart, responses, and His teachings?
