4 Week Sermon Series: Bringing Heaven Down
What if you and I could start bringing some of what Heaven will be like down to earth? In the new message series, called Bringing Heaven Down, we’ll discover that we can. In fact, Jesus spent much of his time here on earth, teaching His disciples and others about how the kingdom of God works and how to spread the Kingdom to every part of our world. This King and His Kingdom is radically different than any other and if we don’t understand that we’ll miss the power they have to transform our lives and our world. This King and the Kingdom of God has the ability to meet every need, heal every brokenness and move the world to be more like Heaven. Join us for a series that will change our world!

The Four sermons are:

Week 1
Title Kingdom Come!
Subject Bringing Heaven Down
Scripture Matthew 6:9-13
Focus We can bring some of Heaven to earth when we let God work in and through us
Purpose That our people would become Kingdom-minded bringing God’s Kingdom to earth

Week 2
Title Seeds among the Weeds
Subject Living in the world but being a citizen of the Kingdom of God
Scripture Matthew 13:24-30, Phil 3:20
Focus Living as citizens of the Kingdom of God among those who are of other Kingdoms
Purpose Help our people live as effective ambassadors the Kingdom of God in a world that opposes their King. As members of God’s kingdom, through Christ, we are ambassadors of God on earth (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Week 3
Title Already and Not Yet
Subject The Kingdom of God has been established on earth but it is not yet complete
Scripture Luke 19:11-26, The Parable of the Ten Minas
Focus When Jesus came to earth (Mark 1:15) he brought the Kingdom but it’s not fully realized until the second coming
Purpose Help our people live fully in the Kingdom realizing the full Kingdom of God will come in all its glory in due time

Week 4
Title. Compelled
Subject. Bringing reconciliation
Scripture 2 Corinthians 5:16-20
Focus As new creations, we begin to see others through the lens of possibility - what Jesus can do making them new
Purpose Our people would become so gripped by Jesus' love that we are compelled to join Him in His reconciling, redeeming work in the world.
