Andrew Adams

About This Author

Andrew Adams (1838-1914) was an early member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was born in England and a licensed preacher in the Bible Christian Church of England. He emigrated to America to mine in Nevada and Idaho. He finally settled in Los Angeles where he joined the First Church of the Nazarene of Los Angeles in 1906. He was a generous man supporting the poor and the educational efforts of 28th St. Bible College which later became Nazarene University and is now known as Point Loma Nazarene University. He supported missionary students training and their work in India at Hope School in Calcutta and Hallelujah Village.
